JATC Pipefitters Local Union 211
Our tuition-free five-year apprentice program offers accepted apprentices a job with one of our signatory contractors Monday-Friday 7-3:30pm and they attend school two nights a week from 5:30-9:30 pm. We offer training for Pipefitting, Welding and HVAC Services.
To get started in our program please get together documentation that includes:
- Driver's license or State ID
- Social security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Diploma with HS transcript OR GED with test grades
- DD214- we do accept the GI bill, our institution has 2 Certifying officials on staff
You will take a math aptitude test- a 25-question math test including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and decimals. Once you pass the math test you are given OSHA information and placed on the Out of Work List. At this point, you will be awaiting a call to go to work and your interview date. Interviews are in mid-July and December and those accepted become first-year apprentices.
